I found her sitting still in the corner of the room, she was hugging her  knees, hair in her face, face in her hands. She was naked as she had come  into this world. The room was barren except for a sword with a handle in the shape of a  spider, bloodied with what was once the essence of another, or so I  assumed. The floor showed reflective pools of blood as well, reflective  of the pain this young woman had faced that would have caused her to wield  her wrath on another. I approached her quietly, but so there was sound and she knew I was  nearing toward her. She did not look up, nor did she moveI asked this fair, solemn maiden to tell me of the tale that had taken  place here, to explain the horror that I had viewed.

Without looking up she said, barely above a whisper "It is over now"
I asked her "what is it that is over now" and again barely above a whisper  she said "my pain is now gone" "I hurt no more except for the remorse I  have that my life's love that I cherished so dear is now over as well"
I continued to gaze across the room looking for the poor soul that had  been taken or for the one who had been injured and saw no one.
Again, with another question to this somber angelic-like lady I asked her, "who is it that you hurt, where might this person lay?"

She looked up, her eyes were this amazing blue green that I had never seen before. Her face as fair as hand woven silk, she wore no smile on her  face and the only expression I could see in her face, in her eyes was that  of sorrow and grief. Her eyes stared at me for a moment, long enough that  she could see into my soul. The stare sent a chill up my spine.
I begged her, please tell me where your victim is, she sat up straighter,  her amber hair spilling over her delicate shoulders. She lowered her legs  and gently removed something from her lap.

She held it up to me with the  utmost care and said "here, you can have this now, just hold it with care  as it has been hurt many times." I said "What is this" as I removed it  carefully from her blood stained hands. She looked at me again with those  eyes and said "It is my heart and I no longer need it as it produces too  much pain for me to bear" - "I will remain forever a heartless soul never  to love or feel again, but I will live."

: She got up slowly, placed her hands on mine and said "take care of it for  me, along with it comes all the heartfelt memories I have ever had. Let  no one ever hurt it again." I promised her I would keep it safe and guard  it as I guard my own heart. She ever so gently touched my cheek and  softly said "thank you for taking on this chore I can no longer bear"  With sorrow and gratitude in her eyes she walked away leaving me with her  beautiful heart, all of her heartfelt emotions and part of her life, as  she walked out the door to begin again but this time not allowing herself  to ever be hurt again.
